Paul Thissen walked with SEIU Local 26 and its friends through the skyways of Minneapolis to highlight the need for good jobs and a green future. A solidarity demonstration and march was held Wednesday, Dec. 30, in downtown Minneapolis on behalf of over 4.000 Twin Cities janitors, who are fighting to maintain full-time jobs and to institute “green job” practices.

The Acoustic Cafe in Winona was hopping on the Sunday after Christmas during our meet and greet there. Luckily, the hot chocolates they serve are piled high with whipped cream, which kept the kids happy while Paul talked about the campaign. Paul has been to Winona five times since he began campaigning, so our supporters are beginning to feel like old friends. It is a great town with a lively mainstreet (Paul’s dad went to college there), and there is always something new to discover.
