Health Care: The Vision
June 30, 2009| Posted in Current Issue - Frontpage, ISSUES, Videos
My vision of health care in Minnesota is simple. Minnesota has to be a place where every man, woman, and child can see a doctor or nurse for the care they need when they need it, regardless of their income and regardless of where they live in the state. Period.
I’ve worked passionately toward achieving that goal as Chair of the House Health and Human Services Policy Committee. And it’s where I will lead this state if I’m elected the next Governor.
No other candidate for Governor can match my record in carrying and passing legislation to get health care coverage to more Minnesotans. I’m proud to be the Chief Author of a law that covered more than 20,000 kids, just this year, and created a public health option for every child in the state of Minnesota.
Leadership that focuses on these kinds of bold and practical solutions that’s what we need to get this critical job done. Please visit our website to learn more about my ideas for delivering on Minnesota’s health care promise.
