Latino Community Candidate Forum

The kids and I joined Paul for a fantastic Latino community candidate forum this weekend. The entire forum was translated simultaneously into Spanish. The audience was really engaged and submitted lots of questions.
Because I spent two years working in Latin America, these kind of events are among my favorite! Paul noted that our kids go to a great public school with many kids for whom Spanish was their first language, and none of the kids would think it possible that opportunities should be different for any of their classmates. Ensuring that equality of opportunity is a reality in Minnesota would be a priority for Paul as Governor.
I was thrilled that many of the audience members spoke to me (in Spanish) about how much they liked Paul’s message. And the kids were thrilled because the Forum sponsored games and snacks in the play area!
We’re looking forward to the upcoming screenings with the DFL Party Constituency Caucuses this Saturday, as well. If you’re a member of one of the caucuses, we hope to see you there. If you’re not, check out our calendar of events to see where Paul will be for the rest of this month.
Look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail soon.
