Paul likes to communicate with Minnesotans.

That’s why he keeps an aggressive travel schedule criss-crossing the state and why he spends countless hours on the phone, dialing away.

It’s also why we enjoy social media tools. The campaign is already active on YouTube (19 videos and counting), Facebook (416 fans and counting) and Twitter (438 followers & 104 tweets and counting). They’re a great way to connect with average Minnesotans on their terms. Even if your schedule makes it difficult to come out and meet Paul in person, we want to make sure you still have a chance to connect with him and the campaign.

Many people use Facebook and Twitter as just another outlet for press releases. We really believe that people want more than that. They want candidates and campaigns to have real conversations with them. We try to engage our supporters on Facebook and when we have free time on the road, we started doing “Twitter Town Halls” where we invite people to ask us questions (and Paul tries to cram his answers into 140 characters). The feedback was promising and our new followers and fans asked for more, so now we’re trying something different. Live chat with uStream.
