No matter how complex an issue, Paul finds the real cause of the problem. He identifies real solutions. Those solutions will improve the lives of Minnesotans. We need that in a leader.  We need Paul Thissen as Minnesota’s next Governor.

Mark Altenburg, Moorhead City Council Member-elect.  I support Paul Thissen for Governor because he’s smart, he’s got a good heart, and he knows what’s good for Greater Minnesota. He’s also got what it takes to win. Paul’s a great guy. If you get a chance to meet him you’ll see that for yourself. I’ll support Paul Thissen for Governor.

Linda Slocum, State Representative, District 63B.  Paul Thissen is the man who takes care of the details. Who does the hard work. He’s not the guy who takes the 3-second media bite. He listens to people — particularly in health care.  That’s what he did.  But he did more than just listening. He heard what people said. And that was the important thing. He puts together policy that make sense. He’s proven that he can put together the health and human services budget which is billions of dollars. And he’s put it together with good common sense and without hurting people. Paul Thissen is my Governor.

We just can’t afford to keep going the way we’re going. In southern Minnesota our schools need help. Health care. We need jobs for certain. We just think he’d be a great candidate for our Governor. We need changes and I think this is the way we’re going to get them.

Thomas Trehus, U of M Freshman, Spring Grove, MN.  I’m looking at all the candidates from a fresh perspective and to me Paul Thissen stands out. Paul Thissen is the only candidate with a proven track record of providing quality affordable health care. We need a Governor who is dedicated to making college more affordable for all Minnesotans.We need a Governor who will stand up.  Support Paul Thissen as our next Governor.

I consider myself very fortunate to have had Paul as my State Representative and I’m looking forward to the day when Paul is elected Governor.Minnesota needs Paul Thissen.

Rolf Westgard, Deerwood, MN.  To me, Paul Thissen is the best qualified candidate. His background on health issues will be critical as we go forward. I’m a geologist. And on energy issues he’s the best qualified and best informed candidate that I’ve heard.

Jerry and Dottie Gilkeson, SD63 DFL Director and Chair.  We’ve been involved in party politics for many many years. Seen a lot of good candidates, seen a lot of bad candidates. None better than Paul Thissen. He’s concerned about what you’re concerned about. He listens to you. He brings a new light. He’s smart, he’s kind and he has a new idea. He’s the new Democratic party, the future of the DFL.  It gives me a warm feeling. His family is wonderful, his wife is wonderful, and they’re working so hard.  I’m going to do everything I can to get this man elected.
